Round table on the implementation of the Chemical Weapons Convention was held on 20-22 June 2019, Issyk-Kul (Meridian Resort, Bulan-Sogottu village, Kyrgyz Republic).

From 20 to 22 June 2019, a round table on the implementation of the Chemical Weapons Convention (hereinafter, the Convention) was held in Issyk-Kul.

The Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic with the full support of the OSCE Secretariat organized this event.

Experts from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons provided basic information on the basic requirements for the implementation of the Convention and the status of implementation by Kyrgyzstan. The OSCE experts presented the draft NAP on the implementation of the Convention developed jointly with the interdepartmental working group, which was discussed during the round table.

Representatives of government agencies involved in the implementation of the Convention, as well as experts of the Center for Nonproliferation and Export Control, Marat Sydykov and Dauren Aben, attended the round table.
