From July 1 to July 3, 2021, a visiting round table was held in the Issyk-Kul region on updating the Action Plan of the Kyrgyz Republic for the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1540 (2004), in an event organized by the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic with the assistance of the Program Office OSCE in Bishkek, was attended by representatives of the Center for Non-Proliferation and Export Control, as well as interested ministries, departments, committees, services and organizations of the Kyrgyz Republic, international and national experts from international and regional organizations.
During the three-day event, the participants reviewed the results of the implementation of the Action Plan, in the context of its implementation by each state body, including detailed discussions on the implementation of each item of the Plan.
The issues of updating the Action Plan of the Kyrgyz Republic for the implementation of UNSCR 1540 for the period 2021-2025 were also discussed.
