ROUND TABLE IN THE VILLAGE OF SOGOTTO BOULEVARD, ISSYK-KUL REGION

An expert from the Center for nonproliferation and export control participated in the round table in Bulan Sogotto village, Issyk-Kul region.

From 9 to 11 September 2019, Marat Sadykov, an expert of the Centre for Non-Proliferation and Export Control, along with representatives of ministries, departments, committees, services and organizations of the Kyrgyz Republic, together with national experts of the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek, has participated at the round table on the implementation and updating of the Action Plan of the Kyrgyz Republic on the implementation of United Nations Security Council resolution 1540 (2004), approved by a resolution of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on July 24, 2017.

During the three-day event, the participants considered the preliminary results of the implementation of the Action Plan, in the context of its implementation by each state body, including detailed discussions on the implementation of each item of the Plan.

They have also discussed the updating of the Action Plan of the Kyrgyz Republic on the implementation of UNSCR 1540, in particular, the consolidation of the new Action Plan of the Kyrgyz Republic on the implementation of UNSCR 1540 with the tasks related to the reduction of risks and preparation for the elimination of consequences associated with chemical, biological, radioactive and nuclear materials and agents of intentional, accidental and natural origin.
