On 23-25 October, in the Kyrgyz Republic, the representative of the Center for Non-Proliferation and
Export Control – Marat Akunovich Sadykov had participated in the Regional Meeting on Export Control
for licensing and customs authorities of Central Asian countries, which include the Republic of
Kazakhstan, Republic of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Republic of Tajikistan, and the Kyrgyz Republic.
The aim of this regional seminar was to exchange national experience and effective methods in the field
of export control with regard to the implementation of the licensing system and border (customs)
control.
This seminar also reviewed the progress achieved, has identified further measures, and the
opportunities reviewed for further expanding the potential aiming on improving the export control
measures in the Central Asian region.
The given event was organized by the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic in conjunction with
the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek.
