State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic – Aidin Sharsheev held a meeting with representatives of the Public Fund “Center for Non-Proliferation and Export Control”.
The meeting was dedicated to discussion of bilateral cooperation issues, including the implementation of the Action Plan of the Kyrgyz Republic on the execution of United Nations Security Council resolution 1540 for 2017-2019, approved by Resolution of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 443 dated July 24, 2017.
Representatives of the Center supported the need for the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament) to adopt the draft law “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Field of Export Control” initiated by the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, which aims to improve the export control system in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed mutual satisfaction with the results of cooperation and discussed further plans for joint activities to attract technical and expert assistance, to conduct training courses in order to increase the capacity of the Ministry of Economy employees, and other workshops.
