The professional technical exchange provided an opportunity for representatives of the Women in Nuclear Security Networks from the Black Sea and Central Asia regions to visit Washington, D.C. and the DOE/NNSA National Laboratory. The program of the event was aimed at stimulating women’s careers and providing opportunities for learning and exchange with their U.S. counterparts.
The program also included professional visits to Los Alamos and Sandia National Laboratories. Participants had the opportunity to network with U.S. nuclear security and other professional communities, as well as with leaders of other relevant organizations.
The event was supported by the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS) as part of the Women’s Nuclear Security Initiative of the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (NSW).
