The Center for Non-Proliferation and Export Control took part in the Inter-University Scientific and Practical Round Table on the topic of “Interagency Interaction of State Executive Authorities in the Area of Customs”.

The Center for Non-Proliferation and Export Control took part in the Inter-University Scientific and Practical Round Table on the topic of ” Interagency Interaction of State Executive Authorities in the Area of Customs”.

This event took place on May 23, 2024, in the building of the Kyrgyz National University named after Zhusup Balasagyn. It was attended by parliamentarians of the country, representatives of higher educational institutions, associations in the field of customs, consultants and experts, as well as representatives of government agencies – the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the State Customs Service under the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The following main topics of discussion were considered at the round table:

– Implementation of customs control at checkpoints on the state border and at places of customs operations;

– The level of development of inter interagency cooperation as one of the factors directly influencing the implementation of control functions by customs authorities;

– The main directions of development of customs policy in the Kyrgyz Republic at the present stage;

– Simplification of customs procedures through the development of authorized economic operators;

– Export control and its development in the Kyrgyz Republic;

As part of export control, customs brokers raised issues of identifying dual-use goods, to which the Executive Director of the Center for Non-Proliferation and Export Control Taalaibek Bektashev gave appropriate explanations.

Following the results of the Round Table, the participants of the event were awarded the relevant certificates.
