The 18th of December, 2023, a meeting of the Council under the Toraga of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic on sustainable development in the face of climate change was held in the Great Hall of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.
At this event, legislation in the field of biological safety in the Kyrgyz Republic was reviewed, representatives of Management Board of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic presented relevant information to the Council.
Representatives of the Center for Nonproliferation and Export Control Taalaibek Bektashev and Marat Sadykov participated in this event as invitees who spoke in the debate.
The main message of the debate is the promotion of the bill on biological safety in the implementation of the Convention on Biodiversity, the Biological Weapons Convention and the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety.
