Drafting of law “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Field of Export Control”

The experts of the Center for Non-Proliferation and Export Control, with support of OSCE, have participated in the drafting of law “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Field of Export Control” initiated by Kyrgyz Ministry of Economy aimed at improving the export control system in Kyrgyzstan.

 

On 22 January 2019, the Economic and Fiscal Policy Committee of Kyrgyz Parliament (Jogorku Kenesh) reviewed, and adopted a draft law “On introducing of amendments to some legislative acts of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of export control” during the second legislative hearing.

The Center for Non-Proliferation and Export Control expresses its gratitude to Kyrgyz Parliament (Jogorku Kenesh) and Kyrgyz Ministry of Economy for cooperation, and expresses its hope that adopted changes into Kyrgyz legislative acts in export control will increase the access of the country, and the business to the high technologies by adhering to international agreements on WMD non-proliferation.
